After two years, Bengaluru's Lal Bagh Flower Show returns

Bengaluru, the stunning capital city of the south Indian State of Karnataka, is often referred to as“the Garden City”. It is the home of a variety of gardens. One of the most famous gardens in the city is the Lalbagh Botanical Garden. To commemorate the 75th anniversary of Independence, Lalbagh has planned an event called the Lal Bagh Flower Show, which is already underway. People are looking forward to an Independence Day special Lal Bagh Flower Show that will draw over 10-15 lakh people!

Important information about Lal Bagh Flower Show

Dates: 5th August to 15th August

Lalbagh flower show timings:  Entry from 9 AM to 6 PM.

Address: Lalbagh Botanical Garden, Mavalli, Bengaluru

Entry fee: Adults INR 80 (per person on weekdays) and INR 100 (per person on weekends)

For children younger than 12 years old, the entry fee is 30 INR per person.

This year’s show is dedicated to the famous performers Rajkumar and Puneeth Rajkumar. The 10-day-long show will feature 50-60 varieties of indigenous flowers as well as around 50 different varieties of international flowers.

The show will also feature 20 delicate flowers from Ooty and 27 other flowers, including the hydrangea, tulips, hypericum, and various berries from 10 countries.

The event is unique because it will be held for two years. In a tweet, the Minister of Horticulture, Government of Karnataka Munirathna, displayed many beautiful photos of his visit to the botanical gardens ahead of the event. He tweeted, “Inspected the preparations for the Lalbagh Flower Show based on the Karnataka Ratna Dr.Rajkumar and Dr.Puneeth Rajkumar. The Horticulture department’s chief secretary Rajendra Kataria and other officials were in attendance”.

Another exciting aspect of the event is that it’s the only zero-waste, no-plastic, and zero-littering event! This is amazing!
