India will be celebrating their 75th Independence Day on August 15 2022. It is also sometimes called a Diamond Jubilee; a 75th-year celebration is enormous. India will leave no stone unturned to make the festival as memorable as possible.

A way to mark the big 75th anniversary of Independence is to pay an in-person visit to the most feasible national monuments.

You can enjoy free entry from August 5-15. because The Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Govt. of India has announced that entry into any monument protected by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) will be at no cost, as an element of their Azadi the ka Amrit Mahotsav program.

The fee is not charged for tickets-based ASI-protected monuments and Archaeological Site museums.
This is not only for tourists from the country but also from around the world.

The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) protects three thousand six hundred ninety-three monuments. Of these, 116 monuments require tickets, as well as 32 museums under the supervision of ASI.

Monuments include those of the Taj Mahal, Humayun’s Tomb, Safdarjung Tomb, Tughlaqabad Fort, Old Fort (Purana Qila), Red Fort, Jantar Mantar, Konark Sun Temple, Golconda Fort, Ajanta and Ellora Caves, Charminar, Shaniwar Wada, are some of the many monuments which are also famous tourist attractions.

What is Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav?

Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav is an initiative by the Government of India to celebrate India’s 75 years of Independence. It also marks the history of the citizens of India, their rich tradition, and the many accomplishments they have made for themselves and their country.
