In a move to expand its international presence, SpiceJet is entering the European market with two new flights connecting Amritsar with Milan Bergamo (BGY) and Rome (FCO) starting November 5 and 9.
These flights will be operated by SpiceJet using its B-737-MAX aircraft, and as the airline does not have long-range aircraft, these flights will require a 40-minute refueling stop at Tbilisi (Georgia).

SpiceJet operated charter flights on the Milan and Rome routes during and after the Covid-19 pandemic. SpiceJet still holds its Birmingham slots, so a regular Birmingham service may be available soon.
As of October 30, low-cost carriers can operate at full capacity after the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) lifted restrictions imposed on them. Due to improvements, SpiceJet has made during the ‘Enhanced Surveillance’ period, it can now operate at full capacity.
