Starscapes plans to open a third observatory in Rajasthan after opening observatories in Uttarakhand’s Kausani and Bhimtal. Astro observatories will be built in Rajasthan’s capital city, Jaipur. This observatory will boost Astro-tourism in Rajasthan as a variety of places offer unparalleled stargazing experiences. The establishment will be equipped with all the necessary sky-gazing equipment by Starscapes. Astrophotography and Astro-research will also be available through the observatory.
In a statement, Starscapes’ CEO and Co-Founder Paul Savio said, “Our high-tech equipment and in-depth sessions with in-house experts will help tourists rediscover the universe”.
Nearly all major tourist destinations, such as the Hawa Mahal and Amer Fort, will be located at the Observatory.
There are beautiful palaces and temples in Jaipur, as well as a vibrant culture and mouth-watering food. In addition to the city’s existing specialties, the observatory will add an astrophysics component. The company launched a Mobile Stargate Observatory in Jaipur that captured the attention of those who were interested in the cosmos. In response, the firm decided to establish a permanent observatory in the city. A few of Jaipur’s prominent tourist attractions, like the Hawa Mahal and Amer Fort, will be within walking distance of the observatory.
Coorg and Ooty are also on the list of possible locations for observatory facilities. In 2015, Starscapes opened its first observatory in Kausani, Uttarakhand, which is the only observatory chain in India. In 2021, a second one will be launched in Bhimtal, Uttarakhand. There are astronomical shows, educational programs, and workshops at these observatories. About 3 kilometers away from the Bhimtal lake is the Bhimtal observatory. The third observatory in Jaipur is also set to be built soon. Coorg and Ooty are also on the list of planned locations.
