Indonesia is preparing to reopen Bali to foreign tourists. Apparently, Bali will reopen on February 4 and quarantine will also be shortened. In order to sustain economic recovery and boost tourism, the country is taking this step.
According to reports, the nation will also lift its ban on all foreign arrivals on February 4 and will reduce the quarantine period from seven days to five days for fully vaccinated foreigners. A Cabinet Minister who oversees the government’s pandemic response informed Luhut Panjaitan of the change of events. Additionally, it is reported that people who have only taken one shot of the COVID-19 vaccine will have to undergo a 7-day quarantine.

This popular tourist destination is dotted with beaches and temples, and a limited reopening occurred in October, but the 10-day quarantine requirement, international health insurance, and a visa with a local sponsor did not attract many visitors.
Moreover, Wiku Adisasmito, spokesperson of the country’s COVID-19 task force, said that from February 4, visitors will be able to travel to the island by direct or connecting flights.
He added that details of other requirements, such as getting a visa from a local sponsor and obtaining international health insurance, will be addressed by a separate regulation.
