2. Shettihalli Church
Located in the small district of Shettihalli, 22 km from Hassan in Karnataka, the Shettihalli Church is an ancient Catholic church founded by French missionaries in the 1860s. Shettihalli Church, which boasts magnificent Gothic architecture, was abandoned in 1960 and is now in ruins. The uniqueness of the church is that every monsoon gets plunged into the water and the ruined church has become a popular tourist attraction in the area for the same reason. 3. Gorur Dam
The Gorur Dam, also known as the Hemvathi Dam, is a scenic and stunning picnic spot that draws visitors from all over the world. The dam is constructed across the Hemvathi River, a Kaveri River tributary, and surrounded on its side by lush greenery, contributing to the dam’s beauty and attracting its visitors even more. Not only is this dam well known for its scenic beauty, but it also attracts bird watchers as it is home to a large variety of birds.

4. Ishvara Temple
Ishvara Temple, Arasikere is a temple built by the Hoysala Kings of the 11th century Lord Shiva. It is known for its rich cultural heritage and exquisite architecture.
The single temple of the shrine, its intricate craftsmanship, and the intricacy of carvings are not found in other structures of Hoysala which make it a popular attraction in the area.
5. Maharaja Park
Maharaja Park is a magnificent city park with a play area for children, spacious walkways lined with tall trees, and lush green lawns. The area is perfect for a picnic.
6. Bisle Ghat & Forest Reserve
Bisle Ghat or Bisle Forest Reserve is a popular sanctuary housing a wide variety of flora and fauna in the Western Ghats region.
Bisle Betta is a viewing point for a panoramic view of the surrounding mountain ranges. At the other end of the forest reserve, Bisle Ghat serves as a natural corridor connecting the Pushpagiri Wildlife Sanctuary.
7. Hemavathi Reservoir
Hemavathi Reservoir is a dam built on the Hemvathi River. The reservoir is an important source of drinking water and water for irrigation purposes for the region, with a catchment area of 2,800 square kilometers.
