This is great news from Indian Railways. The Indian Railways will on Monday announce that the maximum number of online tickets via the app and website that are available on the IRCTC website will be increasing for customers’ convenience. This service is offered to travelers of both kinds that have accounts linked to their Aadhaar cards as well as the ones whose accounts do not link to their Aadhaar cards.

IRCTC Doubles Online Ticket Booking Limit

For customers whose accounts aren’t able to connect to Aadhaar, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) decides to increase the maximum amount of tickets booked in a month between 6 and 12.

As a result, it allows customers to take more excursions. In addition as per IRCTC customers with IRCTC accounts linked to Aadhaar can book 24 tickets in one month and without a linked normal account can book 12 tickets in a month.

Steps to Link Your IRCTC account to your Aadhaar

Step 1: Visit http://irctc.co.in that is the IRCTC website.

Step 2: Select your account and log in.

Step 3: On the home page, select “Link Your Aadhaar” in the “My Account” section.

Step 4: Enter the information that you require, like names, Aadhaar numbers, and virtual IDs.

Step 5:  Click on the button right next to “Send OTP” to send the code.

Step 6: After you’ve completed the process procedure, you’ll receive an OTP for your registered phone number. This number you’ll have to enter, and then select “Verify OTP.”

Step 7: You’re finished by completing the KYC. The account will be linked to the IRCTC account with your Aadhaar card.

Step 8: The confirmation link will be displayed at the top of the screen.

Step 9: must sign off from the website, then return to the website.
