Chhattisgarh is ready to host the Chhattisgarhi food festival from July 17 through August 7, 2022, at various places across the state. It’s to boost monsoon tourism in the state.
It is believed that the Chhattisgarh administration is seeking to boost tourism based on the community, and this food fair is among the best ways to achieve this. The festival will showcase the diverse cuisine of the state, and in addition, it will also in promoting local culture, customs, and all the other tourism-related things the state offers.
In the case of Chhattisgarhi food, there isn’t much well-known about it, and it is set to change thanks to the festival.
From the hot red ant chutney fara or Chousela Roti (rice pureis) to the traditional liquor made from mahua flowers, there’s plenty of variety in Chhattisgarhi food. There are regional and tribe-specific, and there is a vast choice.

Festival Venue and Dates:
The festival’s food and drink will take place at the
- Hotel Grand Imperia, Raipur, on July 17.
- Eco Hill hotel Kabir, Chabutra, and Shaila Tourist Resort Mainpat, Surguja on July 23-24.
- Baiga Ethnic Resort, Sarodha Dadar, Kabirdham on July 30-31 and
- Dandami Luxury Resort, Chitrakote, Bastar on August 6-7.
Tourism officials in the state are hopeful that the festival’s food offerings will open the door to other tourism options within the state. The state is currently taking every step to encourage rural tourism, ecotourism, wellness, and religious tourism.
The primary focus is on local and domestic tourism. Now, the state is working towards increasing the tourist circuit for tribal communities and has made some growth. For instance, the Bastar region is one of the most visited tourist destinations within the state.
