For professionals visiting Goa, there is some good news. The state government has come up with a co-working space idea, which will allow professionals to work in beachfront settings, enjoying the picturesque shoreline.
The Goa State Government is promoting the culture of workationing by reserving beachside hotels for those at work.
The Minister said that the new co-working spaces will be a place to work and makes surfing available for anyone.
The owner of the co-working space claimed that many companies are allowing their employees to telecommute, prompting them to come to the co-working space and see if they need IT products/services.
The Minister stated, “We need spaces to develop Goa like the T-Hub. We have already started advertising to seek spaces to create coworking spots. Today, we are ready with the database.” The state government is going to sign a Memorandum of Understanding with Telangana Academy for Skill and Knowledge to provide skills to the new manpower and enhance the skills of current workers.
It was announced that the tourism department is planning to set up beach shacks with Wi-Fi, restrooms, and other modern facilities. These shacks will be set up at Colva, Baina, and Benaulim beaches in South Goa and Calangute-Baga belt in North Goa.
He also elaborated that these spaces will have a “plug and play” capability, in which visitors will only have to connect to local infrastructure provisions.
