Travel restrictions for COVID have eased across many countries, as a result of which more and more people have resumed their travel plans. As a result of this trend, global tourism is expected to increase and local economies will also be revived.
It has been reported that more than 118 destinations now offer visitors the opportunity to travel without any restrictions.
According to reports, fully vaccinated passengers to Abu Dhabi do not require a PCR test before flying, while those who hold a COVID-19 recovery certificate are not required to take the test.
The removal of travel restrictions in these countries is reported to be an acknowledgment that we are entering a new phase of this pandemic.
Canada, Japan, Bhutan, New Zealand, the Bahamas, and many other countries have eased arrival policies. Similarly, a number of destinations are still closed to visitors who are not vaccinated, such as the United States of America, mainland China, Indonesia, and the Philippines, among others.
In light of this new development, experts believe there is now a better understanding of the virus. A number of vaccinations are also available that provide protection against the virus. Travelers who previously expressed concern about becoming infected have now become more confident and have begun planning their trips.
Despite all of this, the downside to all of this is the rise in flight ticket prices. Airfares have crept up due to the sudden increase in demand, but this has not discouraged avid travelers from making plans for their trips.
By the end of 2023, the travel and tourism sectors are expected to have returned to their pre-pandemic levels if reports are to be believed.
