Monasteries are mostly found in the hills and mountains. But it will be great to know that Bihar has been noted with a monastery. Bihar is also a sacred destination for many people. Lots of people accumulate here throughout the year. Now it is the place of the latest discovery.
The place is now witnessing the emergence of the monastery. It is also estimated to be the first Vihara or Buddhist abode in the whole state.
This monastery was discovered at Lal Pahari in Lakhisarai district during the excavation period. It is a great invention in the present time.
This monastery is believed to be during the 11th and 12th centuries. From this, we can conclude about its age. During the excavation period, some metal bangles were also found inside the excavation place.
There is some evidence that clearly shows women monks were also present during that period. Even two burnt clays have also been discovered so far. Those clays have Sanskrit inscriptions.
This excavation process is being headed by renowned people. They are dedicatedly working on this work. It can be rightly concluded that this excavation clearly indicates that Buddha was present during this period. It played a very vital role.
