I will be glad to know that a memorandum of Understanding has already been signed between the State of Himachal Pradesh and Nagsons Developers. They are planning to construct a ski park. It is estimated that the work will commence right from March 2021 and will be completed by April 2022.
The Government of Kufri has also allotted 5.04 acres of land to the project. It has also been known from several sources that the cost of this project will be around Rs 250 crore. But there may be some changes in the cost. This may vary as per the project. Chief Minister Jay Ram Thakur will open the event. He will be the chief guest of the function.
It is believed that the project will open and create good job opportunities for the people. This is great news for the people of this state. They will get new options.
This news has also brought a new urge among the tourists. They are very interested in coming to this place and exploring the project. Upon completion of the project, it will attract more people and they will enjoy the trip.
Skiing in Kufri:
Kufri, 16 km from Shimla, is renowned for its scenic views and skiing opportunities. It’s a haven for skiers, especially in winter, with its backdrop of the Himalayas and picturesque pine and cedar forests. The skiing activity offered here teaches participants various skills, including balancing and turning. The activity lasts an hour, operating between 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM. During this, experts guide participants on gear usage and skiing techniques.
Getting to Kufri:
- Air: Jubbarhatti Airport, 20 km away, is the nearest, with regular flights to Delhi.
- Rail: Shimla has the closest narrow gauge station, while Kalka, 100 km away, has a broad gauge station.
- Road: Buses, both state-owned and private, run from Shimla to Kufri. Taxis are also an option.
