It will soon be easier to travel to Fiji. Several authorities have announced plans to lift travel restrictions and reopen the border for Indian tourists. Indian travelers who have been fully vaccinated can travel to Fiji without undergoing quarantine, although some entry requirements still apply.
Tourism Fiji stated the Fijian Government agency for destination marketing has announced that India has been added to Fiji’s Travel Partner country list by the Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism & Transport – Fiji. In addition to Singapore and Australia, Indian travellers can now enjoy a comfortable and quarantine-free holiday in Fiji via the transit routes currently open.
It is mandatory for travel to Fiji to be fully vaccinated (children under 18 can travel with an adult who has been vaccinated), and a negative PCR report or a negative RAT report must be presented within two days of departure. When the travellers arrive on Fiji’s shores, they can explore the island nation to its fullest.
Brent Hill, CEO of Tourism Fiji, expressed delight that Indian tourists were here once again, and that India remains one of their most important emerging markets, from which visitors can enjoy premium and personalised experiences. The company intends to capture a greater share of outbound travel from India in the coming months, which will boost both sectors’ long-term prospects.
According to the Tourism Department, travellers can now book with confidence using the Care Fiji Commitment, as well as fly on Fiji Airways, take certified accommodations, use certified transportation, and be assured that every tourism company they come into contact with has a 100% vaccinated staff.
