We have some news regarding flights and air travel if you are planning a trip to Sri Lanka in the near future. A low-cost private airline carrier based in Sri Lanka, FitsAir has launched a new flight service between Colombo and Trichy (Tamil Nadu). On December 8, direct flights will be introduced between these two destinations. With more and more flights on this route, people will likely travel to these destinations more often.
Tamil Nadu-Colombo flights to start by FitsAir
According to the airline, the non-stop flight will take place between Tiruchirappalli International Airport and Bandaranaike International Airport. FitsAir offers direct flights on this route three times a week.
Every Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday, FitsAir will begin flights between Colombo and Tamil Nadu.
FitsAir will provide services on a 180-seater Airbus A-320 aircraft.
During the week of Thursday, flight No. 8D845 departs from Bandaranaike International Airport at 10:25 am and lands at Tiruchirappalli International Airport at 11:25 am. This flight will arrive in Tamil Nadu at 01.25 pm. The return flight will depart from Colombo at 12:25 pm and arrive at 01:30 pm.
On Saturdays, the flight from Colombo is scheduled for 12:45 pm and it will arrive in Tiruchirappalli at 1.45 pm. On the return flight to Bandaranaike International Airport, we will arrive at 03:45 pm and we will arrive at the destination at 02:45 pm on the return flight from Tiruchirappalli.
As of Sunday morning, the departure time from Colombo will be 10 a.m., and the arrival time in Tamil Nadu will be 11 a.m. The return flight will depart at 11:45 a.m. and is expected to arrive in Colombo at 12:45 p.m.

The FitsAir airline, which just launched direct flights between Colombo and Tamil Nadu, is also planning to launch a summer schedule that will be exciting for passengers. In March 2023, FitsAir will begin its summer schedule. As reported by Zee News, the budget airline will also increase the number of flights between Sri Lanka and India.
