Rohan Khaunte, Goa Tourism Minister, recently stated that his department is looking at ways to combine tourism and sports by encouraging beach volleyball and beach cricket in the coastal state to give a massive push to both.
He stated that both tourism and sports need new ideas. International beach volleyball and international beach cricket will be played on different platforms, so international players who may have retired or are still playing have a format and how it should be done. We are currently working on it. Mr. Khaunte stated that if this happens, then there will be new programs.
According to Rohan Khaunte, Goa’s state Tourism and Information Technology (IT) Minister, co-working spaces will be established on beaches to promote #WorkationGoa. These co-working spaces will be established in the first phase at Benaulim beach, South Goa District, and Morjim (North Goa) beaches.
Bicycling could even be integrated with tourism, which both departments should discuss. Rohan Khaunte stated, “We should sit together and venture outside to see how things work.”
He had previously announced the co-working space concept for beaches to attract professionals. This could allow professionals to enjoy ‘Sun-Sand-Sea’ and their work tool Software.’
