I suggest you, just leave towards those tranquil mountains and valleys for a calm and peaceful stay. Many of you might have been to Rishikesh before. You might have heard or even been to places like Dehradun, Kasauli, Shimla, Nainital, Mukteshwar, Mussoorie, Uttarkashi, and Ranikhet.

1. Lansdowne

Situated at the height of 1700m  in the Pauri district of Uttarakhand, Lansdowne is a surprising place with some tall oak trees. Lansdowne was known as ‘Kalusanda’ before it was named ‘Lansdowne’.

If you reside around Delhi, Chamba, Mussoorie, or somewhere else close to ‘Rishikesh’. Then you might be surely aware of the place named ‘Kanatal’.  A place where you can relax under the Himalayas and appreciate those marvelous valleys around you, ‘Kanatal’ offers you a historic tale of Lord Shiva and Sati, which can be relished by visiting the Historic ‘Surkanda Devi Temple’.

Chamba is a secluded small town in Tehri Garhwal District which is a peaceful and hushed place for silent lovers. This is a place which is famous for its minimal amount of venues to visit which makes it a  place which is moreover for relaxing than tourism instead.

6. Sattal

Sattal is a town in the Nainital District of Uttarakhand. It is situated in the lower Himalayan Range near Bhimtal. The most preeminent point of Sattal is that it is a place that is interconnected by seven lakes themselves. This is where the word “Sattal” has been derived from.
