Recently the government has announced thirty days visa with a fee of 10 dollars during the offseason. This visa is valid for 5-year multiple travels. A series of modifications to the existing online visa was announced by the Indian government on Monday.
In addition to it, there is a short- term double-entry e-visa introduced for tourists with thirty days validity at a fee of 25 dollars. There is one condition that this visa can be availed for travel between the months of July and March.
The same thirty days double entry visa is available for “off-season” travel between the period of April and June at a fee of 10 dollars.
A multiple visit online tourist visa of medium duration with a 1-year validity is available at a fee of 40 dollars.
A long-duration online visa 5-year multiple visit visa is available at a fee of 80 dollars.
The validity of the regular online visa with an 80 dollars fee has increased from the existing permissible 1 year to 5 years with several entries.
The government of India has first launched an e-tourist visa for forty-three nations in November 2014. This is done for the promotion of travel to India without any need to make a trip to the delegation or waiting in long queues at the boundary.
The nation has released an e-Visa program for several nations in the next year. In April 2017, the e-Visa program was retooled, with the launch of sub-categories of visas for tourists, medical visits and business travelers.
Presently, tourists from more than one hundred and sixty nations can apply for an online tourist visa, medical e-visa, and business e-visa on the basis of the objective of their entry to India.
Tourists who use the e-online visa program can apply for it, pay the charge and obtain their e- visa online prior to undertaking their trip to India.
