IndiGo has announced the addition of Bahrain to its international network as its 25th destination. New direct flights will be operated between Mumbai and Bahrain beginning August 1. In addition to connecting to all six Gulf Cooperation Council countries, IndiGo has added the 6E network to its network.
Sanjay Kumar, IndiGo’s Chief Strategy and Revenue Officer, commented, “We are pleased to announce Bahrain as our 25th international and 99th overall destination. As a result of these new flights, India and Bahrain will be able to enhance their international connectivity and boost their trade, commerce, and tourism between them. Bahrain is known for its pearl diving and trading traditions. The 6E network will add Bahrain as the first international addition post-Covid. With direct connectivity to Bahrain, tourist footprints will be enhanced in destinations such as the Royal Camel Farm, the island of Pearls, the Twin Towers of the Bahrain Trade Centre, one of the largest underwater theme parks, Dive Bahrain, Isa Town, the capital city of Manama, Zalaq, the UNESCO world heritage site of Qal’at Al Bahrain, Sitra, Muharraq, and the wildlife reserve at Al Areen.
