Why Ayodhya?
Ayodhya, deeply rooted in India’s cultural and spiritual heritage, is an important pilgrimage destination and a must-visit city for history and spirituality enthusiasts. Known as the birthplace of Lord Ram, Ayodhya has recently gained global attention due to the development of the Ram Mandir, attracting a surge in domestic and international visitors.
With these daily flights, travelers from South India, especially Bengaluru, now have a faster and more convenient way to explore this sacred city.
Bengaluru – Gorakhpur Flights Resume
In addition to the Ayodhya route, IndiGo has also resumed its daily Bengaluru-Gorakhpur flight service, effective December 31, 2024. Gorakhpur, another spiritual hub in Uttar Pradesh, is famous for its Gorakhnath Temple and serves as a gateway to other prominent destinations in the region.
IndiGo’s Commitment to Regional Connectivity
Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales at IndiGo, stated:
“The launch of daily flights connecting Bengaluru with Ayodhya reflects our commitment towards enhancing regional connectivity in the country and further strengthens Bengaluru’s position as a key gateway for travel. The daily flights are timed to enable our customers ample time to explore Ayodhya, a city of profound spiritual significance, and also connect further with IndiGo’s wider network.”
This move is part of IndiGo’s broader strategy to support tourism and pilgrimage in India while making travel more accessible and efficient.
