ITA Airways announces nonstop flights between Rome to New Delhi

ITA Airways

Italia Trasporto Aereo SpA, trading as ITA Airways, announced new non-stop flights between Rome and New Delhi, its first foray into the Indian market. A non-stop flight between India and Italy will be launched by ITA Airways on December 4.

From end of this year, ITA will begin three-weekly flights between the two capital cities, which were flown regularly by Alitalia pre-pandemic. Starting on December 4, the new flight will depart from Indira Gandhi International airport in New Delhi at 3.50 a.m. and arrive at Rome Fiumicino at 8.10 a.m.

Instead, the flight from Rome, Fiumicino, is scheduled to depart at 02.10 pm local time and arrive in New Delhi at 2.00 am Indian Standard Time. From New Delhi to Rome and beyond, the new route will provide convenient connections to Italy, Europe, North America, and South America. There is only one other carrier flying on this route, Air India.

Another development involves the appointment of Fabio Bigotti as the new Country Manager for the Indian market. Ita Airways has appointed DEX Group as its GSA in India, a leading GSA group. Besides being the capital of India, New Delhi is also a unique place where cultures, colors, and traditions combine to create a fascinating mix that makes it one of the top tourist destinations for adventure seekers. Our flights depart from December 3rd; get ready to pack your bags!” stated the airline in a tweet.

“ITA Airways is confident that DEX Group will support it to develop a strong sales and marketing network across India to achieve its commercial goals in India,” said Bigotti after he was appointed.
