Starting June 1, 2022, Malaysia has announced that it will again offer Visa on Arrival (VOA) to Indian tourists traveling through Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, or Indonesia, with a valid visa from either country. As we reported earlier this month, Malaysia plans to reinstate Visa on Arrival (VOA) for Indian tourists.
Currently, the Malaysian Immigration Department (Mumbai Attaché) charges MYR200 (USD 46) for the VOA fee, and travelers must have cash, a credit card, a debit card, a traveler’s check, or any electronic money certified by the Malaysian Central Bank (Bank Negara Malaysia).).

In order to qualify for Malaysia’s Visa On Arrival facility, Indian citizens must meet the following requirements:
Malaysia Visa On Arrival Fees
Visitors must show that they have at least USD 500 cash (or equivalent in Ringgit Malaysia) and a confirmed return ticket to receive the VOA fee of RM 200.00 (USD 46 or INR 3600).
Guests are only permitted to stay for a maximum of 15 days. People who overstay their visas will be subject to enforcement action under the Immigration Act and Regulations.

Malaysia Eases Travel Restrictions
Beginning 1st May 2022, Malaysia will welcome fully-vaccinated international visitors without quarantine. The COVID-19 test is no longer required for inbound travellers who are fully vaccinated, including children aged 17 and younger.
Malaysia welcomed 735,309 Indian tourists (+22%) in 2019, making it one of the country’s top markets.
