Lahaul will host India’s first Snow Marathon

India’s first Snow Marathon will be organized in Lahaul on the 26th of March in Lahaul, in association with Reach India. Although there are around 10 marathons like this around the world, this will be the first in India.

Deputy Commissioner Lahaul and Spiti Neeraj Kumar, who was speaking at the press conference in Palchan close to Manali The runner recently stated that it is the first time the snow marathon has been held in the United States and organizers are looking to make it an annual event. According to reports, the snow marathon is more challenging than the other marathons and will improve the performance of runners.

According to reports, the Snow Marathon will have four categories: one of which is a full marathon in which participants will cover a distance of 42 kilometers, and the three other categories will be half marathons covering 21 km, 10 km, and 5 kilometers. The logistical, administrative, and financial assistance to this event is offered by the administration in Lahaul and Spiti

The organizers hope that this type of marathon can offer a fantastic training ground for the toughest races all over the world. In this regard, they’re believing that there’s the perfect location to be Lahaul for hosting the nation’s first-ever Snow Marathon, in which runners from all over the nation can participate.

This race will welcome runners from India and around the world. The organizers have enlisted Fortis Hospital Mohali as the medical team for the race to manage any kind of emergency. Medical personnel, paramedics, and two modern ambulances for life will be at the ready in case of an emergency, to ensure safety.
