Good News from the Government of Maldives!!!
If you are an Indian and among the very few who have been expecting to make a trip to the Maldives, then there’s a big surprise waiting for you.
The Maldives government has organized plans to continue visas on appearance for Indian travelers beginning July 15. Travelers are requested to carry a negative RT-PCR COVID test report to enter the nation, as briefed by the Maldivian Tourism Ministry during a question and answer session with the press.
The question and answer session was coordinated in the President’s Office, where President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih made the declaration that the nation will continue giving vacationer visas to South Asian travelers.
Maldives Ministry of Tourism even took a step forward and tweeted, “The Maldives will start issuing on-arrival tourist visas starting 15th July to tourists traveling from South Asia. Tourists require negative PCR results to enter the Maldives. Further details will follow accordingly”.
Individuals with work visas are also allowed to enter the Maldives from July 1 onwards, however, they should stay in isolation in the Maldives.
The island country is one of the top seashore attractions on the planet. This tourist destination had imposed a temporary suspension of traveler visas for Indian explorers during the pandemic. However, the second COVID-19 wave in India had been destructive, which constrained the Maldives to close its lines for Indian travelers last month.
Since the cases have gradually gone down in India, the seashore destination has again opened its boundary, for all the South Asian countries including India with all the COVID security gauges set up.
According to the reports, the Maldives has been visited by more than 400,000 sightseers since the start of January. Russians have been on top of the list, trailed by Indians.
