Monuments in Maharashtra have reopened to the public after 3 Weeks

Due to the surge in COVID 19 cases, Maharashtra’s monuments have been closed for three weeks. Now they have reopened. It is once again possible to visit Ajanta and Ellora, among other sites. It is now possible to buy tickets online for these sites, but visitors will need to be fully vaccinated against COVID 19.

On January 8, the monuments were closed; however, they have been reopened by the district administration.

There are no physical tickets available for visitors under the new rules, but there is no limit on the number of people who can visit the sites. Aurangabad caves, Bibi ka Maqbara, and the Daulatabad Fort are also open right now. Check out: 20 Most Famous Caves of Maharashtra

India’s two most important cave sites are the Ajanta Caves and Ellora Caves. Each is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and both attract a large number of tourists every year. Ellora has one of the largest rock-cut Hindu temple cave complexes you will ever see, whereas Ajanta has over 30 rock-cut Buddhist monuments. Buddhist monuments and Jain monuments can be seen here.

Kailasa Temple is an ancient wonder located within the Ellora Caves. For centuries, historians have been baffled by its construction from a single rock. Visitors can take advantage of these gems now that they are open to the public. A historic fort in Daulatabad was built in 1600.
