Hong Kong-based airline Cathay Pacific has said it will begin direct flights that connect Bengaluru with Hong Kong from October. From October 11 onwards, Cathay Pacific will operate two weekly non-stop flights out of Bengaluru’s Kempegowda International Airport, the company said.
“We will take off from our third biggest airport in India starting on October 11 through Cathay Pacific. A wide-body plane that will fly this route won’t just meet the needs of leisure and business travelers but will also provide every segment with an option of cabins and enable them to travel in greater comfort up to Hong Kong and beyond,” said Rakesh Raicar Regional General Manager for South Asia, Middle East and Africa at Cathay Pacific.
According to the statement, the airline’s arrival in the city will boost the direct connections of the country with Hong Kong as well as other destinations, including Australia, the US, Australia, Japan and the Philippines.
