Odisha Honorable Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik ordered officials to take charge of developing the Chandrabhaga and Talsari beaches with all equipped world-class amenities and standards. After ‘Puri’ beach got the “Blue Flag” certification, the government started eyeing to develop more beaches to attract domestic and foreign tourists.
Blue Flag tag will be given to the beaches based on an environmental-friendly atmosphere, cleanliness, and international standards. To boost tourism, Patnaik issued all directions and the key points to the officials to develop the two beaches with all international standards and to create an environmental-friendly atmosphere. In a high-level meeting, Patnaik directed all the officials to take this plan as ambitious and prominent to improve tourism wealth.
Coming to developing works, Chief Minister Patnaik stated the officials about all the required facilities should be there in the master plan of developing works.
He told the officials to develop a one-kilometer area at Chandrabhaga in Puri-Konark beach including the facilities of the cycle track, water-sports, recreation space, wooden pavement track, play zone for children, and podium, etc. He also ordered to implementation of a waste management system, landscaping, and solar lighting on the beach. In addition to all these, he ensures the participation of Chandrabhagalocal people.
Chief Minister Patnaikadded to develop a 2.4-kilometer area at Talsari beach in Balasore district. Further, he offered to construct the budget and standard hotels at the beach and there will be the installation of pavilion, restaurants, amphitheaters, art, and craft plaza.
As per official reports, the Odisha government planning to complete all these development works by October 2021. Also, Chief Minister Patnaik ordered the officials to develop other beaches in Puri and Ganjam districts.
At last, Chief Minister Patnaik addressed the importance of the Puri district administration and Tourism department in bagging the “Blue Flag” tag to the Puri beach and he thanked them for their efforts.
After gearing up with these development works, Chandrabhaga and Talsari beaches will be going to be famous beach hotspots in Odisha. To attract global travelers and to improve tourism, the Odisha Tourism department, and the government looks forward to doing all these.
