Uttar Pradesh’s Prayagraj, the erstwhile city of Allahabad, is preparing for Mahakumbh in 2025. Thousands of Hindu pilgrims from all over the world will attend Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Mela in 2025, the largest religious gathering in India.
The city will soon see a major change with the change of the Prayagraj Airport from a domestic to an international airport. There will be an international airport at the city’s only airport very soon.
Among all domestic airports in India, Prayagraj Airport has been ranked 13th by the state government. Before the Mahakumbh in 2025, an international airport will be built at the current domestic airport due to its satisfactory performance.
Mahakumbh Mela is a major Hindu pilgrimage and festival celebrated every 12 years. World’s largest peaceful gathering, the festival is said to be a peaceful event. In addition to Prayagraj, Haridwar, Nashik, and Ujjain, four main pilgrimage sites celebrate the festival. In 2013, nearly 120 million people attended the last Mahakumbh Mela in Prayagraj, which was the world’s largest religious gathering. UNESCO has included the festival on its Representative List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity because it is so popular!
Visitors coming from outside India would find it easier to get to Prayagraj airport as an international airport. There are also many foreign visitors to the festival, who come to experience its first-hand.
