With the economic crisis looming, the Sri Lankan government has announced that it will extend its multiple-entry tourist visa to five years in an effort to boost the tourism industry.
According to Sri Lanka’s Tourism Minister, Harin Fernando, multiple entry visas are now available for one year.
Furthermore, the country also gives out single entry visas for a six-month stay. Fernando said that his proposal had recently been approved by the cabinet.

According to the Minister, the country had earlier offered a three-month visa for digital nomads to attract foreigners working remotely.
