Uttarakhand’s Chief Minister, Pushkar Singh Dhami, recently made travel within the state easier and more accessible by launching new air services. These services now connect Dehradun with three key destinations: Ayodhya, Amritsar, and Varanasi, enhancing the travel experience for residents and tourists alike. The flights, operated by Alliance Air, not only connect Dehradun directly with these cities but also include a route from Dehradun to Varanasi via Pantnagar, offering more options for travelers.

During the inauguration ceremony at Jollygrant Airport, Chief Minister Dhami emphasized the state’s commitment to improving transportation and making travel within Uttarakhand as smooth as possible. He highlighted the broader achievements in various sectors under the Prime Minister’s leadership, including significant advancements in air travel.

In addition to the newly launched flights, Dhami mentioned previously introduced air services from Dehradun to Pithoragarh, as well as helicopter services connecting Haldwani with Champawat, Munsiyari, and Pithoragarh. These efforts demonstrate the government’s dedication to enhancing connectivity and ensuring that traveling in Uttarakhand is both efficient and enjoyable.

During the event, Chief Minister Dhami interacted with passengers on their way to Ayodhya, extending warm wishes for their journey, accompanied by chants of “Jai Shri Ram.” A special promotional offer was also announced, allowing passengers traveling to Ayodhya to enjoy discounted fares. Until March 20, tickets are available at a concessional rate of Rs 1,999 each. After this promotional period, the price for a ticket will return to Rs 7,006.

This expansion of air services is part of a broader initiative to improve transportation infrastructure in Uttarakhand, making it easier for people to visit religious and cultural sites, as well as promoting tourism and economic development in the region.
