Tamil Nadu’s first International Kite Flying Festival this August will colour the skies with vibrant shapes as they soar in the air. There will be a colorful jamboree wherein friends and family can enjoy flying kites of all shapes and sizes under clear blue skies (Chennai Sky is Love).
There will be professionals from Thailand, the US, Malaysia, and India participating in this grand event. The first edition will be held at TTDC Ocean View in Mamallapuram, Tamil Nadu. There are 14 acres of space at the venue that will be marked according to the event segments by the organizers.
In association with Tamil Nadu Tourism, Benedict Savio, founder of Global Media Box, is organizing the event. Every year, Savio organizes hot air balloon festivals in Chennai and Pollachi
What should you expect?
- Different countries such as Malaysia, Thailand, and the United States will be represented by kite enthusiasts.
- Approximately 10 teams have registered more than 100 kites, according to reports.
- High in the sky will be flown kites as large as 20 feet and as small as 3 feet.
- The event will feature games, kite-making workshops, food stalls, and music performances over the course of three days.
