Thailand Is Finally Open for Fully Vaccinated International Tourists, Including India

Thailand is a popular international holiday destination all over the world traveler. For Indian travelers before the Maldives became their must-visit destination, Given the rise in COVID-19 cases, the country shut its borders to international tourists. After almost two years, it is finally ready to welcome tourists on October 1.

Thailand’s Tourism Authority (TAT) announced recently that visitors who are fully vaccinated can now visit Bangkok as well as four other provinces: Chiang Mai, Chon Buri, Phetchaburi, and Prachuap Khiri Khan. Furthermore, fully vaccinated tourists will be exempt from the mandatory 14-day hotel quarantine.

According to Yuthasak Supasorn, governor of TAT, Thailand had been a very popular destination for Indian travelers before the pandemic and this appeal looks likely to continue as soon as the market reopens. As a result, TAT in India is working to ensure that all visitors are aware of the various health and safety measures, including the SHA (Safety and Health Administration) standards that Thailand employs.
