In an effort to boost the tourism sector, which is still recovering from the COVID-19 pandemic, the Rajasthan state government plans to organize folk art festivals. It is reported that these festivals will help preserve the arts and culture of different regions of the state and promote artists in the process.

The Rajasthan government plans to conduct 22 different types of folk festivals from the panchayat to the state level, according to records. A detailed plan will be prepared by the tourism department and a budget of INR 27 crore will be allocated to cultural competitions to ensure its success.

According to an official in the know-how, Rajasthan’s folk art festival, which will take place at the panchayat level and state level, will increase the number of foreign and domestic tourists visiting the state. A priority list of local tourist places would be used to organize the festival.

In addition to protecting folk arts and culture from various regions of Rajasthan, the festival will also help promote local folk artists who were affected by the pandemic.

Ashok Gehlot, Rajasthan’s Chief Minister, has even directed officials to prepare the plan as soon as possible.

In addition, we will highlight numerous other unexplored tourist sites in other districts where there is enormous potential for promoting tourism. These include Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Udaipur, Bikaner, Alwar, Jodhpur, and Sawai Madhopur.

As a result, all such destinations will be prominently displayed by the festival in such a way that tourists will have new choices for planning their trips and spending a few extra days in the state of Rajasthan.
