Singapore’s government has voted to revoke the requirement for pre-departure tests for Covid-19 for travelers who are fully vaccinated as well as those who are not fully vaccinated or vaccinated children aged 12 and younger from the 26th of April.
Singapore removed Covid 19 restrictions
The Ministry of Health said in an announcement that they were in a position to relax further restrictions for the pandemic period which was one of Singapore’s biggest “significant steps” toward normalcy. The restrictions on group size are set to be removed by reducing physical distance and limits on the capacity for large gatherings will be relaxed.
After the announcement by the Health Ministry, Singapore Airlines has issued an update, stating that “From 26 April 2022, fully vaccinated travelers and non-fully vaccinated children aged 12 and below do not need to take a pre-departure test for entry into Singapore”
Singapore is the very first Asian economy to eliminate any restrictions on vaccination for tourists who want to visit the city and the government is working to revive the tourism and aviation industries that were affected due to the pandemic.
