VietJet, a popular budget airline, is planning to strengthen flight connections between India and Vietnam by starting a new route. From August 12, 2023, direct flights will begin operating from Ho Chi Minh City to Kochi, creating more travel options for passengers between the two countries.
The airline will be running these flights four times a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The flight, VJ1811, will leave Ho Chi Minh City at 19:20 and land in Kochi at 22:50. The return flight, VJ1812, will take off from Kochi at 23:50 and arrive in Ho Chi Minh City at 06:40.
Booking for this new route is currently open and travellers can start reserving their seats for the first flights on August 12.
The new route represents an expansion of VietJet’s services in India. Kochi will be the fourth Indian city where the airline operates, joining Delhi, Mumbai, and Ahmedabad. This indicates VietJet’s dedication to improving travel options between India and Vietnam.
This new route will provide not just direct access to Kochi, but also easy connections to a range of popular destinations. From Kochi, passengers can connect to VietJet’s broad flight network, reaching cities like Vietnam, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, Bangkok, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Seoul, Narita, and Bali.
VietJet’s move into Kochi is expected to positively influence tourism, business, and cultural exchanges between Vietnam and India. With its affordable prices and focus on customer satisfaction, VietJet is likely to attract both holidaymakers and business travellers seeking convenient and cost-effective travel options.
The direct flights between Ho Chi Minh City and Kochi are part of VietJet’s expansion plans, aimed at creating a significant presence in the India-Vietnam travel market. This move reaffirms VietJet’s status as a leading budget airline in the region.
