Central Asian country Kazakhstan announced that it would no longer require visas for citizens of India, Iran and China to enter the country for 14 days.
The Migration Office Committee reports that Kazakhstan has unilaterally eliminated visa requirements for nationals of India, Iran, and China beginning July 8. For India and China, the 72-hour visa-free transit window has ended.
According to the country’s customs authority, visa-free stays are limited to 42 days every 180 days.
Please note that the visa-free regime applies only to tourism and not work or other paid activities in Kazakhstan. It is necessary to obtain a work permit in advance.
Kazakhstan announced last month that it would establish a visa-free regime with over 100 countries.
