Ialong India Tours
Ialong village is in the East Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya state. This quaint village of some odd 400 houses goes insane during the festival seasons. - Buses, Cars and Sumo are available from Mawlong hat. From Guwahati, tourists can also proceed directly to Jowai through the Shillong by-pass of NH44 highway that connects to national highway NH40 at Mawryngkneng.

Festivals Ialong
The most eminent of all is the Chad Chukra, a fair that celebrates the sowing season which corresponds with the month of April. Another festival called the Noh Sceriat is celebrated at the same time and clubbed one as Thohrakaw. Behdienkhlam is celebrated in the month of August
Shopping Ialong
Jaintia people are renowned for weaving carpets and cloth traditionally. You can buy cane mats, stools and baskets. They are also famous for making musical instruments, jewellery and pineapple fibre articles.
