Cherrapunji is the one place that gets the heaviest rainfall and the living root bridges are famous in this region. It is formed because of the rain. Trekking to the living root bridges is a thing everyone loves trying. The scenery is wonderful and beyond words.
Dawki
Dawki is famous for the transparent river where you can boat and the beauty of the lake will take you in awe. The river is so clean and nearly perfect and it is a popular destination for tourists.
Things to try out in North East India
River Rafting
Siang is contributory to Brahmaputra and river rafting in this place is awesome. The whole experience can take you on a roller coaster ride with Grade III and Grade IV rides. The hanging bridge present there will give you goosebumps every time you cross it.
Yumthang Valley
Yumthang Valley is located at 14,000 feet above sea level in Sikkim. Grazing of sheep and yak can be seen in this valley and you can communicate with locals. Skiing is available during the winter months.
