Punakha was Bhutan's capital from the 17th century to 1955, as it changed to Thimphu. When you go to the city, you still feel that a regal yet calm aura. Many airlines take passengers every day from India into the state of Bhutan. Two of the Largest flights with a direct landing in Paro are Druk Air Flight and Bhutan Airlines Flight. You can take a cab that will leave you in the Punakha district from this place.
