Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant, has declared that completely vaccinated travelers don’t need to carry a COVID-19 negative test report any longer. Travelers who have taken both doses of vaccination will be allowed to enter the state even without a negative authentication.
The CM is of the opinion, “People who have taken both the vaccination shots and possess a complete vaccination certificate will be allowed to enter Goa. It can be for those who are coming for tourism, business, or other reasons.”
He further said that the Covid positive rate in Goa has dropped to 6 percent and the recovery rate has likely gone up. As of now, the state government is intending to set up labs and movable testing centers at all the major rail stations in Goa.
Speaking more about the Coronavirus situation in Goa, the CM said that in the upcoming days, the Covid positive rate is probably going to drop to even 5 percent. He said that the COVID-19 circumstance in the state is expected to get under control and that the Covid positive rate is diminishing while the recovery rate is expanding.
“By July 30, we will complete 100% of the 1st dose of Covid vaccine,” Sawant said.
Evidently, Goa had closed its boundaries during the second influx of COVID-19 and a negative RT PCR test report was made obligatory for all.
