To enhance tourism in Ranchi, the Jharkhand government has identified five new sites for a skywalk similar to those in Pelling and Rajgir. According to sources, the state tourism department conducted an initial feasibility study and identified these sites.
The tourism department is now seeking expert agencies to oversee the project’s implementation. The department intends to establish skywalks at Patratu in Ramgarh, Netarhat in Latehar, and Hundru, Jonha, and Dassam fall in Ranchi.

It is well known that all three of these places are prominent tourist destinations with a combination of leisure and adventure tourism potential. This is because they attract a large number of tourists visiting both within the state as well as neighboring areas throughout the year.
It appears that all of these locations are recognized as tourist destinations. Its natural and scenic beauty makes Patratu in Ramgarh a popular tourist destination. In 1962, the Patratu Thermal Power Station and dam were constructed with Russian assistance.
The small hill station of Netarhat, on the other hand, is located in the district of Latehar. It is also known as the Queen of Chotanagpur and is home to the Netarhat Residential School.
In addition to being the 34th highest waterfall in India, Hundru is a popular waterfall in Ranchi. It was created along the course of the Subarnarekha River and is quite picturesque.
Johna is another prominent waterfall located some 45 km from Ranchi. The Jonha Falls is named after the local village and is known as Gautamdhara. There’s also a temple dedicated to Lord Buddha nearby.
Additionally, Dassam Falls in Ranchi, also known as Dassam Ghagh, is another beautiful waterfall. Locals and tourists alike visit this popular tourist attraction.
This project aims to promote local communities in the development of tourist spots in the region as well as boost tourism.
