Belgaum / Belagavi is Karnataka's third-largest city. Officially known as Belagavi, during historical times the location was also known as Venugrama or Bamboo Village. It's interesting to know that under PM Modi's Smart Cities Project, the city has been chosen as one of 20 cities named as smart cities. The city is located about 500 km from Bangalore and has several tourist attractions worth exploring.
