Bundi is a small town located in the northwest of India in the royal state of Rajasthan. In primitive times, this place was inhabited by several local tribes. It was earlier called as Bunda-Ka-Nal that meant 'narrow ways'. Located at 35 km from Kota, and at 210 km from Jaipur, the district is enclosed by the Aravalli hill on its three sides. The region was administered by Rao Deva Hada who was the one establishing this princely state Bundi in 1342. The district is home to various glorious palaces, mighty forts, step-wells, Havelis, shrines, with engraved pillars.
